Veneers, wafer-thin ceramic shells bonded to the visible front surface of natural teeth, after the enamel has been prepared, in order to improve their appearance. 
aesthetic dentistry
Veneered crown, a crown whose visible part is covered with tooth-coloured material. It is made either of composite or as a combination of ceramic and gold. Its advantages are its stability and the small loss of healthy tooth material when the veneer is fitted.
Combination bridge, a bridge that connects natural teeth and implants.
