Extraction, the removal of teeth and roots.

Extraoral implant, an endosseous implant outside the mouth used to anchor an epithesis. An epithesis is an individually modelled acrylic replacement covering surface defects, particularly in the face; it usually consists of a rigid and a permanently soft layer.
