Prosthetic planning of implant-supported teeth

Diagnostics also provides important information for implant prosthetics, the prosthetic planning of implant-supported teeth. For pre-implant planning, CT scans can be produced from the CT images. The reconstruction of teeth and their technical realisation can be carried out using the data from 3D diagnostics and corresponding planning software. Once the data obtained have been processed, a patient's exact dental situation can be determined. The results are transferred to the articulator, with which the dental technician determines, among other things, the position of the new teeth. This precise planning allows optimal restorations tailored to the patient's individual situation. The accuracy of fit of the restoration protects against overloading or incorrect loading and is a reliable way of preventing implant loss or unfavourable changes in the jaw joint.
